 | Materials can be searched by any of the fields represented by stacked books above. Choose to search by one of the categories: Title, Author, Subject, Title and Subject, or Combo (Combo includes Title, Author, Subject, Publisher and Summary fields).  |
Enter accurate search information in the Search window. If the exact title, author, subject or callnumber is not known use the "any of these words" keyword search and search a keyword or words within the title, author subject, callnumber or combo. Only when exact information is known should the "exact phrase" option be used. Click the Search Now button to begin the search. Click Reset to begin a new search. Click the Back key to choose another category for the search. | |
For example, the Title of the book to be searched is FISHING IN THE RIVERS OF THE UNITED STATES. If the user is unsure of the whole title, typing in FISHING in the search window and "any of these words" as an or search parameter in the Title search will result in a listing of all books with FISHING included anywhere in the title field. If the user knows the exact title or a portion of the title typing in FISHING IN THE RIVERS in the search window and "exact phrase" as an and search parameter in the Title search will result in a listing of all books with that exact phrase in the title. | |
To view the entire record for a material click View. If the type of media is designated as eMaterial it can be downloaded. If not it must be physically checked out from the desktop library (or placed on reserve). | |
How To Print the results of the search: Click the word Print at the top of the screen. Choose the fields to print, and either all records or the number of records to print and the Next button. Once the records appear on screen click either the Print button to print the list or the Close button to return to the search screen. | |
Click Back to return to the Search Materials screen. | |
