Users may choose to search in two ways:
QUICK or
SELECTED. In a
QUICK SEARCH, the user chooses a search
category, such as Education,
Business,
Law or
Medical . Each
category contains the Library of Congress and two additional reliable library
databases known for that particular type of MARC record. In a SELECTED
SEARCH users can choose any three library
databases from the entire listing of available databases regardless of
category. Searches are initiated with either a single ISBN number or a batch
file of ISBN numbers. MARC records are searched, downloaded and saved for later
processing by MARC import utilities to help in cataloging library databases.
MARCExplorer
licenses enable users to download an unlimited number of MARC records. The
license is renewed yearly at a low annual fee. Try the
MARCExplorer
demo and see for yourself how easy it can be to search and download MARC
records. Then imagine how quickly your library's automated database can become
complete and fully functional!
